Abstract
The Burgers’ equation was derived for studying the behaviour of Dust Acoustic (DA) shock wave for a four-component dusty plasma comprising charged dust grains of opposite polarity, super thermally (Kappa) distributed electrons and ions. The numerical solution of Burgers’ equation is analyzed. It is established that opposite polarity shock wave potentials exist in such dusty plasma. The properties of the dust acoustic shock wave are studied taking into account the spectral index (K) effect. We have been able to establish the fact that, the polarity of the shock waves amplitude varies from positive to negative at a particular K value.
